Travels in Africa is a rich and full picture of a daring expedition, while simultaneously a dedication to a continent for whom the author clearly has a deep reverence … I was blown away.” —M.K. Rainey, editor, Animal Riot Press, at Goodreads

Submissions

Interested in sending us your manuscript for consideration? Great! It’s our mission to publish books by first-time authors.

What We’re Looking For

We are currently publishing poetry, travelogues, and books about teaching classics and the liberal arts. We are open to high quality writing in any genre, however.

We are particularly interested in books with a global approach. At this time, we only accept completed manuscripts.

Call for Chapbooks

Chapbooks are short, completely conceived books that are generally fewer than 48 pages long and incorporate unique, artistic design concepts.

This year we are specifically looking to publish a chapbook of poetry or microfiction that seeks to explore the limits of the form.

How to Submit

Our submission process is simple: send us a note through the submission form below. It can be as formal or as informal as you like. Please describe your project as well as anything else you’d like us to know about you and your work.

We understand the plight of authors in 2020, and it means a lot to us that you would entrust Respondeo Books with your valuable writing. We will do our best to reply to every submission within a matter of weeks. If we believe your manuscript may be a fit for us, we will ask you to send the complete manuscript via email.
